See All ReviewsAbsolutely loooove the chow mein here, super yummy! Always amazing quantities for the price, never a disappointment. As somebody recovering from agoraphobia, the cozy environment as well as the distance from my apartment makes it really ideal for the times I am willing to get food outside of home! And the people working are kind and efficient :)
I’m from Idaho and I have NEVER had Chinese food as good as Tan’s. It’s real Authentic Chinese food, which is very rare for the north part of the US and its Consistent! Every time I go into Tan’s the place is busy. Weekdays it’s take out, weekends it’s both! But please remember to WAIT it’s so worth the wait. My family and I go at least an hour before we’re ready to eat, bring some games, laugh and have a good time while we wait. The menu is HUGE too! The best stuff is on the white board trust me. The only other place I’ve been able to find red bean buns was San Francisco. Over all it’s a great family restaurant. All it takes is a little patience and your food with be absolutely amazing. And don’t forget you want your food EXTRA spicy.
Food was solid but the wait was just super long, people who had ordered mere minutes before us got their food, finished and left before we even got our waters refilled. Come here for solid food and with time to kill. Portion sizes are good though.
